I am an assistant lecturer (sessional) in history education at the University of Sydney.  Prior to this I was Professional Officer for the History Teachers' Association of New South Wales and a secondary history teacher in NSW, Australia. From 2007 – 2012, during the period in which the first Australian national history curriculum was being developed, I was President of the History Teachers’ Association of Australia. My experience includes writing, editing, publishing, professional development, project management and curriculum development. Current research and writing is focused on Australian social history, education and life writing.
